Personal Message from Dr. Chris Kemper D.C.

I had to write Tailbone Pain 911 because after 30 years of practice I am still in awe each time I see the body heal itself once alignment, flexibility and strength are restored. For many, the key to recovery is restoring the Coccyx or Tailbone back to its full range of motion. If you are one of the millions of people suffering from coccydynia, the good news is that relief from tailbone pain, and its related problems, is possible in over 80% of the people I treat.

I have been privileged to be a part of the healing process for thousands of patients, a few of which kindly share their stories of healing and recovery. I hope you will be so inspired by these people, just like you, who were freed from their pain, that you too will regain hope and seek help here at Kemper Spine Center. Just imaging being freed from the medical drama and expense you thought would never end. Remember, the chances are very great that if you have pressure or tension on your spine and nervous system caused by your old Coccyx or Tailbone injury, as so many people do, there is a very good chance that you are about to be set free.

The Doctor has done the work

Bringing a new awareness of the importance of Coccyx or Tailbone injuries to the health care professions through his research, Dr. Kemper’s work has been published in respected professional journals such as the Journal of Orthopaedic Medicine and the Journal of Manipulative and Physiologic Therapeutics. As a pioneer in diagnosing coccydynia and tailbone-related spinal conditions Dr. Kemper and his colleague Dr. James R. Wooley are bringing much needed attention to the epidemic of Coccyx or Tailbone-induced spinal pain, stiffness and nerve symptoms. They have helped discover a new diagnosis involving the Coccyx or Tailbone and related pelvic floor injuries, now collectively known as the SacroCoccygeal Syndrome or “S/C” syndrome. The syndrome is the name given to the varied symptoms that result from untreated Coccyx or Tailbone injury where the last and most important vertebra of the spine loses its natural and necessary range of motion. When this happens predictable problems begin to develop in the spinal nerves and spinal column. These problems are almost always misdiagnosed as sciatica, coccydynia, disc problems, and restless leg syndrome to name a few.

Yet relief from the S/C syndrome and its many symptoms is usually so easy. Many times nearly instantaneous improvement in spinal range of motion, pain and weakness is obtained during the doctor’s FastTrack treatment week(s).

The doctor developed his exclusive FastTrack for busy people who want definitive answers and results now so that they can regain control of their health.

Helping Women with Delivery

Tailbone Range of MotionDr. Kemper has embarked on proving that most women can deliver vaginally once their tailbones are set back into normal motion with just a few treatments. He predicts that once women are properly screened for impaired Coccyx or Tailbone function the C-section rate of 30% will drop to about 10%. He champions natural birthing success not just for the mother, but for the baby who needs to be delivered vaginally when possible. Of course, if Coccyx or Tailbone function is never tested, what hope is there that the birth canal can open fully for safe delivery?

Today, Dr. Kemper continues his research of SacroCoccygeal Syndrome and the complications of tailbone trauma. His work is helping to standardize diagnosis and treatment of Coccyx or Tailbone injuries and the SacroCoccygeal syndrome.
